Olive Tree Ridge was founded by Mike Davis in 2019. He is a consultant turned operator turned investor – focused on removing barriers for women and immigrants to access capital for value creation.

Mike Davis, is the founding partner of Olive Tree Ridge, a multi-strategy asset management firm and investment bank on a mission to bridge the gender and immigrant wealth gap.

Mike is a Persian immigrant, seasoned technologist, and serial entrepreneur that has founded 13 startups, most of which were in the financial services or e-commerce space. He is involved in numerous projects connected to women’s initiatives, immigrants, and vulnerable segments of society and has been featured on TD Ameritrade Network, NASDAQ, Epoch Times, and Marketbeat, among others.

Elina Tunyan plays a key role as a Principal within the investment team, taking charge of deal management in origination and portfolio management.

As a former entrepreneur, she’s passionate about partnering with companies at the earliest stages to build products customers love. As a two-time refugee and immigrant herself, she is absolute in her staunch support of underrepresented founders, which is why Elina was so drawn
to this fund’s mission.

Prior to OTR, she spent over a decade in the financial industry, starting a consumer-focused DTC brand and serving as a founding team member of a fintech as head of product, tech market researcher, and angel investor.

She brings diversified experiences to OTR as an operator, angel investor, and tech markets researcher, she has experience investing in Seed to Series A stage companies from robotics and AI to circular loop fashion brands and gaming. She is also a Limited Partner in a few early-stage funds.

Elina received her MBA from Columbia Business School and holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Finance from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

When she’s not investing and meeting with founders, she stays busy as a mom to a preschooler and enjoys playing tennis, cooking and eating, and catching up with friends.

Gary Smith is a senior IT executive highly skilled in leading teams and providing corporate technical vision. A self-motivated continuous learner with extensive hands-on experience and a track record of results.
